About me

Teodora Angelova portrait

I believe that in the dynamic, changing and often traumatic environment in which we live, we have an increasing need to look beneath the surface and seek answers from the inside out, to recognize our wounds and learn to heal them, to experience ourselves and the world authentically and mindfully. My mission as a psychologist is to provide a safe space for this work to unfold.

Having graduated in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, I received the academic foundation

and theoretical knowledge, which I later had the opportunity to build on in my work with people from different social groups, psychological support centres and NGOs. My training as a psychotherapist continues with the Bulgarian Society of Analytical Psychology “C.G. Jung”.

Professional path:

During my student years, I joined the NGO sector in Bulgaria, going through many roles. I have worked with different social groups focusing mainly on disadvantaged adolescents. I have 6 years of experience as a co-therapist in psychodrama for children and adolescents in partnership with S.O.S Kinderdorf and Psychosocial Support Centre.
For two years, I was a project coordinator and outreach worker in an educational boarding school for youth in conflict with the law.

From 2018 to 2023, I worked as a psychologist at the American College of Sofia.

In 2020, I became a mother and this motivated me to start my own psychological practice where I counsel families and work individually with adults and adolescents. In Bulgarian society, I see an acute need for support for modern parents who cannot fit into the old models - people who are going through separation or divorce, raising their children alone, building new families, or who belong to the LGBT community.
